How Mr. Purple would fight the war on terror...
- I would communicate that this is a war with a nation less / state less enemy who knows no bounds.
- We don't change or compromise our ideals and personal freedoms to fight them.
- We should not invade Iraq, a country we have our thumb on with inspectors currently on the ground doing searches.
- We should, even though they got it wrong on 9/11, double down on our CIA and clandestine operations geared toward finding terrorists around the globe.
- We should put more troops into Afghanistan.
- We should increase the number of special forces soldiers trained in urban warfare and strategic strikes to be used in conjunction with the CIA.
- We put money, time and energy into promoting a true and positive view of the USA throughout the Middle East.
What we shouldn't do is fall back on a Neocon foreign policy philosophy that doesn't take into consideration this state less enemy we're faced with. Unfortunately, the Neocons are at the helm and we're going to go down with them...
