The Abu Ghraib torture prison...

Don't know which of you didn't see '60 Minutes' II' story on the Abu Ghraib prison but for those who did... are you just as disgusted as I am?

I can already hear the administration's defense... it's just a few bad soldiers who got carried away with themselves.  When you hear this as the defense for such horrible behavior, please remember that after 9/11 we jettisoned the Geneva Conventions when it came to enemy combatants.  This is exactly the torture that we opened ourselves up to when we did that.  I keep saying, and I will keep saying, that this war of terror is not a war about who will stoop lower than the other, it's about us, the United State of America, taking the high road.  Leading by example...

Democracy is hard... what we have here in the U.S. is very, very hard to achieve.  To be an open and free and just society is hard.  We destroy a piece of that freedom every time someone in the name of us does something like this.  This reporting makes plainly clear how far we have to go until we get closer to winning.

The Theory of Unitary Executive undertaken by Bush 2.0 is again destroying our image around the world.  Bravo!
