The nail in the coffin of Don Rumsfeld's legacy

Yesterday, on the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Presdient-elect Obama appointed Erica Shinseki as the next Veterans Affairs Secretary... yes, that Eric Shinseki who famously told the truth about the number of troops that would be needed in a conflict with Iraq and who was subsiquently pushed out the door by Rummy and pals to giving his honest opinion.  With Obama putting him in his administration as the Veterans Affairs Secretary, the final nail in the coffin of Don Rumsfeld's legacy is complete... and oh how sweet it feels.

I have faith that (ret.) Gen. Shinseki will put the right focus on the cause dear to my heart: troops coming home from the battlefield with PTSD.  Good pick President-elect... good pick.

I wonder how history will judge Bush and company? I know what history I will teach my children.

It has been funny (and a bit scary) to watch Bush, Rove and company try and rewrite history with their little media blitz over the last couple of weeks... but I have faith that history with judge them as we see them; corrupt, ideological to a fault, cocky, inept and one of the worst administrations in history who got away with murder (literally and figuratively).
